Built on judgment, not just code.

A boutique consultancy out of Patagonia. A decade of production systems behind every call. One principle: the hardest part of software is deciding what to build.

I'm Agustin, a Senior Backend Engineer based in Patagonia. A decade of shipping production systems across multiple companies. Panasonic Well and The Last Gameboard, in particular, are where the thesis behind Gwirio.Dev took shape: code bloat is a symptom, not a cause.

My thesis is singular: Deciding what to build is the hardest part of software. Most firms compete on how to build faster. I exist to make sure you aren't building a faster path to the wrong destination.

Gwirio is Welsh for "to verify, to check." That is the job: verify the technical decision before you commit capital to it. Series A and B teams bring me in when the cost of getting a call wrong is measured in months of runway.

Every engagement, you get me directly. No pass-through layers, no junior triangulation. That is the point of a boutique of one.

"The valuable problems are the ones machines can't frame."

I don't take on work for the sake of volume, and I don't take on projects I can't do well. Every engagement gets the cognitive space it needs, or it does not get signed.
